We have a strong foundation:
- Our Master of Arts in Education was MSU's first online program.
- Our Global and Urban Educator Cohort Programs (developed in 2006 and 2008, respectively) are the only undergraduate program of their kind in the Big Ten, offering immersive, peer-focused learning opportunities.
- One of our hallmark programs — the Teacher Preparation Program — has been reimagined to address affordability and educator shortage challenges. Plus, several of our programs are nationally accredited.
But we don't simply align our programs just to meet the standards. We proactively consider what the world needs.

Educator Preparation Program
MSU’s Educator Preparation and Accreditation Program (EPP) works intentionally and collaboratively to advance learning, achievement, community, equity and excellence, by implementing innovative, evidence-based, data-driven practices through a continuous improvement process that allows us to focus and make learning experiences beneficial to our students, faculty, university, partners and extended community.

Community Teachers
Home-grown inspiration. This program allows students to begin their college studies during high school and return to their communities as educators in their home school districts.

Introducing the Community Mental Health Counseling program. The first of its kind at MSU, this program was built to train professional counselors who specialize in promoting mental health and wellness.
