Policymakers often seek the expertise of Michigan State University faculty members to influence critical education reforms across the state and nation.

In the spirit of fulfilling Michigan State University’s land-grant mission, the College of Education makes serving the needs of schools and communities a top priority. Faculty members work in partnership with teachers, school districts, peer institutions and policymakers to strengthen the connections between theory and practice and actually implement change where it matters.
This commitment to service includes providing educators with opportunities for continuous professional development. It also means sharing research-based knowledge with leaders at all levels. The MSU College of Education is particularly engaged in efforts to promote international perspectives in education and to improve teaching and learning within urban communities.
