The Doctorate in Education in Leadership for Equity-Minded Change in Postsecondary Education is an in-person, cohort-based program. The program duration is three full years, including the summers. The curriculum provides students with content and research training targeted to advance their knowledge about postsecondary education and prepare future leaders in higher education.
Groups of students will work with a faculty advisor. Admitted students will be grouped and assigned an advisor by the start of the first semester. Students will complete individual project-based dissertations of practice but will work in advising groups on related topics, with the potential for overlap between projects.
The Doctorate in Education in Leadership for Equity-Minded Change in Postsecondary Education is a cohort-based pipeline program. All students will complete a common 45-credit curriculum intentionally designed and sequenced. The pipeline program design means that transfer credits do not apply.
This program is offered by the HALE unit in the Department of Educational Administration.
