Applications for the Educational Statistics and AI M.A. are submitted through MSU’s Graduate School application system. Prospective students should review the requirements below and prepare materials before starting the online application.

Application Dates

We admit students to the program on a rolling basis. These are the final due dates for each semester:

  • Fall Semester: August 25
  • Spring Semester: January 19
  • Summer Semester: May 17

Once you submit your application, you may continue to make updates after the application deadline. However, new applications cannot be started after the deadline. If you began an application before the deadline and are still interested in applying, you may request an extension to reopen your application for completion.

Application Steps: 

  1. Complete the MSU Graduate School application, selecting “Educational Statistics and AI – MQM” (MA).​
  2. Upload a statement of purpose describing your background, professional goals, and interest in statistics/AI in education.​
  3. Upload a current résumé or CV highlighting relevant educational, research or data experience.​
  4. Arrange for official transcripts from all prior institutions to be sent to MSU.​
  5. Provide letters of recommendation for M.A. applicants (consistent with CEPSE norms; e.g., three academic or professional references).​
  6. Submit optional GRE scores if available and beneficial; they are not required.​
  7. Submit the application and monitor your status; respond to any follow-up requests from the program office.​
