Web Support

Welcome to the MSU College of Education website support page! We are dedicated to keeping our website accurate, accessible and user-friendly for students, faculty, staff and visitors.

To request website updates or changes, please complete our Website Update Request Form. This form allows you to submit updates, new content or corrections and our team will promptly review and implement them to keep the College of Education website informative, up-to-date and easy to navigate.

What are we working on?

In June 2025, we transitioned the College of Education website from WordPress to Sitecore XM Cloud, so in conjunction with regularly attending to website update requests we are also attending to post website migration needs such as fixing broken links, refining page menus, titles and structure.

Concurrently, we are focusing on content strategy informed by website analytics. This will increasingly become the core of our work.

Depicted in the first slide of the image carousel is the website in 2012 on the "Adobe Contribute" CMS. In the next two slides is the website in 2016 and 2022 respectively, on Wordpress. The final slide depicts the current website on Sitecore XM Cloud. To view previous instances of the website, visit the College of Education Website Archive.

Frequently Asked Questions

We do not have a timeline on when we will open access to others. We are still learning Sitecore and working through some essential post migration edits.

You can send website update requests through the Website Update Request Form (preferred) or by emailing or Teams Adria Mestre, Website Content Administrator (mestread@msu.edu) or Lauren Knapp, Senior Director of Communications (laeknapp@msu.edu).

You can submit updates in whatever format is best for you: a document, an email, a message or the form.

New hires are automatically added by the Communications team. If you do not see your profile within a few days/weeks of your start date, please submit a Web Request Form.

To edit your directory profile, please reach out to Kayla Thompson (thom2575@msu.edu) and provide the new content to be added to your profile.

The Communications team handles all deletions from the directory, with consensus from the college Human Resources team. Individuals who retire from the college remain online, unless they request to be deleted.

Please note: We are moving away from adding resumes or curriculum vitae (CVs) on directory pages and will deny future requests. Generally, documents such as PDFs are not responsive (mobile-friendly) and can have accessibility concerns, both of which negatively impact our search engine optimization score. As a workaround, our team is working on more robust directory listings. As of September 2025, we are not prepared to roll this out to the college widely. Stay tuned for updates.

To add an event to the calendar, please reach out to Kayla Thompson (thom2575@msu.edu). Please provide details about your event such as date/time, location, event description, speakers, registration link(s) etc.

If event details change after it is published on the college calendar, such as an event is rescheduled or is canceled, please reach out to Kayla Thompson (thom2575@msu.edu).

For requests that impact website functionality, email or Teams Adria Mestre, Website Content Administrator (mestread@msu.edu) or Lauren Knapp, Senior Director of Communications (laeknapp@msu.edu).

There are many benefits to Sitecore, and many reasons why we made this transition.

In part, we made the switch from WordPress to Sitecore to reduce the technical maintenance demands that came with our previous system. Because Sitecore is a university managed system, many technical requests are fulfilled by MSU IT. Therefore, by moving to Sitecore, our web team is able to focus more of our time and energy on creating strong content, improving user experience and ensuring accessibility.

Yes, this is evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Please reach out to Adria Mestre, Website Content Administrator (mestread@msu.edu) or Lauren Knapp, Senior Director of Communications (laeknapp@msu.edu).
