MAET, MALXD programs announce Launch Fellowship

The MSU College of Education is offering a new Launch Fellowship for students entering the M.A. in Educational Technology and M.A. in Learning Experience Design programs in Fall 2026. The competitive opportunity provides financial support to help learners begin their graduate studies while advancing the programs’ learner-centered mission. Available on a first-come, first-served basis, the fellowship is designed to support early engagement and sustained progress in these innovative, fully online programs. The Master of Arts in Educational Technology (MAET) and Master of Arts in Learning Experience Design (MALXD) programs are excited to offer a unique fellowship opportunity to learners beginning their academic journeys with us in the Fall 2026 academic year! 

The MAET & MALXD Launch Fellowship recognizes the ways in which MAET and MALXD enacts our learner-centered mission and principles. 

We are able to offer 20 admitted MAET and MALXD learners a $1,000 fellowship.

Requirements: 

  • The fellowship application must be filled out completely to be considered.
  • You must be admitted to MAET or MALXD and start coursework in the 2026-2027 academic year.
  • Within the first three semesters of your admission to the program, you must take courses in two semesters to receive funds. 

Funding available: 

Each fellowship awarded will be $1,000. You will receive $500 during the first semester you enroll in courses. You will receive $500 during the second semester you enroll in courses. 

When? 

Fellowships will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis for eligible learners. You will be notified if you are a recipient as soon as possible. 

The fellowship application window will close once 20 fellowships have been awarded. Funds will officially be disbursed once the Fall 2026 semester has begun to confirm attendance in courses, this will be early October 2026.
