Knee Injury

From Injury to Arthritis: What We Do

We study why some people develop osteoarthritis (OA) after knee injury and how to prevent it before lasting damage occurs. By linking movement patterns, ultrasound imaging, and patient-reported symptoms, we identify early signs of a “failed recovery” and test strategies to reduce joint loading, calm inflammation, and protect cartilage health.

Why This Matters

Catching risk early lets us personalize rehab, reduce persistent symptoms and lower the long-term burden of OA in young, active patients after knee injury.
