Experiences

Athletic training students gain invaluable hands-on experience during their clinical immersive experiences, which take place in a variety of settings including professional sports teams, Power Five collegiate conferences, smaller Division II and III schools, high schools, performing arts, and rehabilitation and physician clinics.

Previous Athletic Training students have worked with professional teams such as the MLS Colorado Rapids, and at collegiate Power Five conference schools like the University of Georgia, Stanford, Duke, and Penn State University, where they engage with elite athletes and gain exposure to diverse injuries and recovery strategies.

Additionally, high school settings provide opportunities for students to work with young athletes, tailoring their approach to growing bodies, while performing arts programs present unique challenges in managing injuries for dancers, musicians, and theater performers. Each of these settings offers a distinct experience that fosters growth and prepares students for a well-rounded career in athletic training.
