ACE Teaching Table Talks: Aligning Mission & Values in the PTR Process

Grounded in MSU’s land-grant mission and institutional values, we’ll examine how to document scholarly contributions, teaching, and service in ways that move beyond categorical labels to emphasize substantive, measurable impact. We’ll also discuss strategies for aligning academic work with shifting compliance frameworks while highlighting mission-aligned evaluation practices. This session will be led by Drs. Jamie Alan and Sue Barman from the College of Human Medicine.

Teaching Table Talks is a brown bag series hosted by the Office of Access and Community Engagement where faculty and graduate students will engage in interactive workshops focused on innovative pedagogical approaches, classroom management strategies, and emerging topics in teaching and educational research. Each session offers a space for collaborative learning, critical dialogue, and practical application across diverse educational settings. Light refreshments will be provided.
