Below are the steps necessary to receive a transcriptable certificate for your graduate certificate:
- After being admitted to the MAET or graduate certificate program, complete the Intent to Enroll form. This form also serves as an academic plan between you and your graduate certificate advisor.
- Complete the three required courses.
- Once grades have been posted for all three courses, submit the Completion Review form. This will notify the program that you have completed the required courses and that you are ready to have the graduate certificate added to your transcript. You will also receive a printed Certificate from the University (this usually takes a few weeks to process).
Please note, you must complete the three required courses with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in order to be eligible for any of our graduate certificates. If you have any questions about this process, please contact the Graduate Certificate in Educational Technology advisors at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Graduate Certificate Intent to Enroll Forms
Complete this form to declare your intent to complete the graduate certificate and you are a student currently enrolled or newly admitted to another graduate degree program in the MSU College of Education.
Graduate Certificate Completion Review Forms
Students who enrolled in the Graduate Certificate in Educational Technology, Online Teaching and Learning, or K-12 Computer Science Education – as a stand-alone credential or as a complement to their graduate degree program – must have a Completion Review Form processed to have their Graduate Certificate officially conferred on their transcript.
Once you have successfully completed all 3 required courses with a cumulative 3.0 GPA, the Graduate Certificate Programs Director will complete this form on your behalf. Please plan on it taking 6 to 8 weeks after grades are finalized for your physical certificate to arrive to you. You are welcome to complete the form and email it to email@example.com also.
Transcript Request Form
After completing the certificate courses, you can request an updated transcript. It costs $5, and you can pay with a credit card, check, or money order. With a credit card, you can request the transcript online. You will need your MSU Net ID and password (that is, your email login information) or your student ID, social security number, and date of birth.
