Biography

Kristen Bieda is currently Interim Chairperson of Teacher Education and a professor of mathematics education. She also serves as the Associate Director of Mathematics for the CREATE for STEM Institute. A former middle school, high school and undergraduate mathematics teacher, her research focuses on classroom practices related to reasoning and proof in middle grades and secondary mathematics, with the goal of informing teacher education, curriculum, and professional development programs.
