Alicia Alonzo

Biography

Alicia Alonzo, PhD, is a Professor of Teacher Education. She is the recipient of a Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE). Dr. Alonzo’s work has considered assessment practices at both the classroom level (as science teachers use interactions with students to tailor instruction and generate professional knowledge) and at the large-scale level (as state, national, and international assessments signal what is valued as learning in science classrooms). Much of her res
