Shireen Al-Adeimi

Biography

Shireen Al-Adeimi is an associate professor of language and literacy in the Department of Teacher Education at Michigan State University. She directs the Global Educators Cohort Program (GECP) and is a core faculty member in the Muslim Studies Program, and an affiliated faculty member in the Asian Studies Center. Her research examines classroom discourse, with a particular focus on how classroom talk supports reading, writing, participation, and student agency. She develops tools and frameworks
