The Athletic Injury and Rehabilitation Labs (AIR) is currently recruiting highly motivated undergraduate students to assist with ongoing research projects. Undergraduate research assistants in the SIRL can expect to assist with data collection and management, data analysis and preparation of scientific presentations and manuscripts. Students will have the opportunity to present their research at the MSU Undergraduate Research and Arts Forum and in some cases, regional or national research meetings. Undergraduate research assistants work closely with the SIRL research team and are encouraged to continue lab participation throughout their academic career. The Athletic Injury and Rehabilitation Labs (AIR) is currently recruiting highly motivated graduate students at the doctoral and masters level. Graduate students in the SIRL will receive individualized research training, teaching opportunities, and exposure to professional experiences in order to establish a foundation for independent scholarly work in the areas of sports medicine and athletic training. It is expected that students will be actively involved in ongoing research projects while developing and executing independent work. The faculty recruit and accept new graduate students based on volume of ongoing research as well as available funding. Historically, successful applicants have initiated communication with their desired mentor well in advance of the application period, have academic interests that closely align with the SIRL research agenda, and possess strong research experience.
