Sept. 7, 3 to 6 p.m. This fair is a perfect opportunity for students who are looking for an internship or part-time job during the school year. Learn more via Handshake

Community-Engaged Scholarship Write-In
Sept. 8, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. 
Join for three hours of dedicated time to advance your scholarship (journal articles, grant proposals, book chapters, theses or dissertations, curricula, pieces for public audiences, and community engagement portfolios). Write-ins start with goal-setting for the day and end with a progress report, next steps and a meal ticket for lunch at Brody cafeteria. Learn more and register via University Outreach & Engagement

College of Education Writing Groups
We are pleased to announce that College of Education writing groups are returning for the fall semester! Our fall kickoff event will be on Sept. 22, 12 to 1:30 p.m. (133F Erickson Hall), with FREE Toarmina’s pizza and special guest speaker Dr. Kristine Bowman, who will share her tips on academic writing. If you are interested in joining, please complete this short survey by Sept. 15. Based on your answers and preferences, you will be paired up with four to five individuals who have similar goals and go through the same academic milestones. Online Master’s Student Ambassador Program
Attention: Online Master’s
The College of Education is seeking an online master’s student to participate in its Online Master’s Student Ambassador Program. As a participant in the program, you will be asked to provide 10 hours of support (all remote work) during the Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 semesters to help engage prospective students. Promoting Education & Emotional Resilience (PEER) Program
The PEER Program seeks to empower students to learn about their mental health and develop positive coping skills. This 6-week workshop will help students develop resiliency skills derived from evidenced-based practices such as Mindfulness, ACT, CBT, DBT, and Resiliency training in collaboration with the Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities (RCPD) and Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS). LGBTQIA2S+ Resources for Faculty, Staff & TAs
Attention: Graduate Teaching Assistants
The Gender and Sexuality Campus Center maintains resources to support faculty, staff and TAs in building capacity for LGBTQIA2S+ equity and inclusion at MSU. This collection of suggested practices is comprised of the answers to the most commonly requested resources and commonly asked questions. Learn more via GSCC

Ignite Talks for MSU Student Researchers
The MSU Museum CoLab Studio is unveiling a novel program titled “Ignite MSU.” Its primary objective is to empower students to articulate their research more effectively. We’re seeking 10 passionate MSU students, from any academic level or field, to present at the inaugural Ignite event on Nov. 9. The Ignite format offers a distinctive method to succinctly communicate ideas: a 5-minute presentation using 20 slides that advance automatically every 15 seconds. Apply by: Sept. 18. MSU Safe Place Crisis Chat
MSU Safe Place offers free individual and group therapy, advocacy and shelter for MSU faculty, staff and students. The MSU Safe Place Crisis Chat is intended for survivors and co-survivors of relationship violence and stalking who are in need of support. This support service is staffed by trained volunteers on a limited basis and is available from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday to Friday. Learn more via MSU Safe Place
