National School Psychology Week
As part of the National School Psychology Week 2023 celebrations, the MSU School Psychology program will be hosting events on Nov. 6 (9:30 to 11:30 a.m., International Center entrance) and Nov. 8 (2:30 to 4:30 p.m., Wells Hall, B Wing Entrance). CREATE for STEM Seminar Series: Enriching Qualitative Video Analysis with Theory-Driven Uses of AI-Based Tools
Nov. 7, 12 to 1:15 p.m. 
The College of Education Fall 2023 Seminar Series “Teaching & Learning with Generative AI” is presented by CREATE for STEM and the Office of Academic & Student Affairs. This talk will introduce existing AI-based techniques for extracting audio and visual-spatial features from data. It will also introduce a framework for how to integrate those techniques into existing qualitative workflows. HYBRID EVENT: 115 Erickson Hall or register via Zoom

Social Justice in International Education
Nov. 9, 3:30 to 4 p.m. 
Dr. LaNitra Berger is a professor of History and Art History and the director of African and African American Studies at George Mason University. Her work focuses on creating and expanding cross-cultural educational opportunities for underrepresented students, particularly in international education. This interactive talk will discuss three key concepts in social justice that can help international educators approach their positions in a more purposeful and inclusive way. Small Changes, BIG Difference Makers: Strategies That Inspire Faculty and Student Success

This Seminar and Meditation Session is hosted by the CED Office of International Studies in Education and the Graduate School Office of Well-Being. Women*s Initiative for Leadership Development Conference 
Nov. 12, 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 
WILD is a student leadership conference at MSU focused on gender equity and empowerment, aiming to prepare individuals to be agents of social change and featuring Keynote Speaker, Autumn Brown. All Spartans interested in these topics are encouraged to attend. Register via EventBrite

MSU Athletic Training Education Endowment Fund Lecture 
Nov. 14, 7 to 9 p.m.
 MSU Athletic Training Education Endowment Fund is excited to have Dr. Wilcox and Dr. Fernandez lecture on Cardiac Issues in Student-Athletes. Drs. Wilcox and Fernandez currently work at Sparrow Thoracic and Cardiovascular Institute and specialize in cardiovascular disease. This lecture will focus on the athletic heart, describe common cardiac conditions seen in athletes and describe preparticipation cardiac screening measures. Learn more via PDF

Pride in STEM Day 2023
Nov. 17, 5 to 7 p.m. Join us for a social and networking event at the MSU Museum on the day before International LGBTQ+ in STEM Day. Connect with queer students, faculty, staff and alumni.
