A celebration of recent achievements by College of Education grad students:
- Ed Policy Ph.D. students Annie Gensterblum, Ariell Bertrand and Sandy Frost Waldron won the 2022 Have You Heard Graduate Research Contest. They discussed their research on critical race theory on a recent episode of the Have Your Heard podcast. Listen via SoundCloud
- CITE Ph.D. student Laxmi Prasad Ojha has had two recent publications:

- M.A. in Educational Technology student Steph Saksa and program alum Jonathan Keck shared their experiences introducing gameful design into their classrooms at a November virtual seminar hosted by MAET.
- Kinesiology Ph.D. student Chelsi Ricketts presented at two major conferences in 2022: North American Society for Psychology of Sport and Physical Activity and Association for Applied Sport Psychology 37th Annual Conference. She is also second author on an article published in Journal of Physical Activity and Health and was featured on their Twitter feed as an early career researcher.
- School Psychology Ph.D. student Andryce Clinkscales was featured on School Psychology Review’s 120 Second Summaries, discussing “The Role of Racial Match Between Students and Teachers in School-Based Consultation,” Andryce Clinkscales, Courtenay A. Barrett & Shelbie E. Spear (2022).
- Special Education M.A. student and Project Hi2LD scholar Grace Gimesky was named the college’s 2022-23 Online Master’s Program Ambassador and will help support outreach to prospective online students.
- Kinesiology Ph.D. student Francesa Genoese received a doctoral research grant from the Great Lakes Athletic Trainers Association to fund part of her dissertation.
