2026 CREATE Community Conversations

Join CREATE for STEM for their CREATE Community Talks series!

NOTE: All sessions will be held in CREATE's seminar space from 12:30pm-1:30pm unless otherwise notified.

Demystifying AI in STEM Education series (new!):exploring AI literacy, pedagogical applications and the future of AI in scientific work and research. Conversations will be lead by community members to address recent research, news, opportunities and challenges. These sessions will be in-person, recorded, and potentially offered on Zoom, depending on thoughts shared at the first meeting. 

* Sessions are scheduled for 10/7, 11/3, and 12/2. Zoom participation will be offered, but in person attendance is appreciated if possible.

Research Mentoring and Discussion Forum: junior researchers are given the opportunity to share their work in a friendly, low-stakes environment and get feedback from colleagues, friends and peers (senior faculty are welcome and encouraged to share their experiences and wisdom). Discussion topics include translating ideas into grant proposals and navigating the publication process. Credit will be offered for RECR certification to graduate students (in-person attendance required).

*Sessions scheduled for 10/21, 11/17, and 12/16. These will be in-person only; RECR credit offered to those who request it.
