The Education Policy Speaker Series welcomes Kristen Mumma from Columbia University. She will be presenting her seminar in Erickson Hall Room 252 on Friday, October 17th from 10:30am-12:00pm. EPSS hosts and amplifies some of the leading voices in education research and policy to share their research and speak about the issues that are top-of-mind in education policy today.
Speaker:
Kirsten Slungaard Mumma is an assistant professor of Economics and Education at Teachers College, Columbia University. Her research is in the economics of education. She studies how education programs and policies affect the economic, social, and political outcomes of children and adults. Her interests include immigrants and English learners, politics/political engagement and education, and K-12 school choice. Her work has been published in the American Economic Journal: Economic Policy and has been featured by media outlets including the Washington Post, Education Week, Brookings Brown Center, the New York Times, and Chalkbeat.
