Meet the instructor:

Selena Jaramillo is a K-12 teacher, yoga instructor, and MSU PhD student whose work is rooted in her lived experience as a biracial Xicana navigating nepantla-the in-between. Out of her own search for identity, balance and healing, she created Nepantla Healing Space, a community-centered project offering accessible yoga and wellness practices that affirm our wholeness. She draws on the healing practices that sustained her as a teacher, helping her find balance while showing up for her students and community. In her classes, Selena emphasizes that yoga is for everyone, creating inclusive spaces that invite mindfulness, breath, and movement. She hopes students leave her sessions with grounding practices they can carry into their daily lives and communities.

The Office of Access and Community engagement sponsors the series. The series is open to anyone. Twenty (20) yoga mats are available on a first-come first-serve basis. Feel free to bring a small blanket/towel and water bottle for extra comfort during the session.
