Degree programs at MSU cost more per credit, but require fewer total credits (30 compared to 36-38 credits for other programs), evening out some cost differences. A degree from MSU offers candidates a highly regarded, nationally recognized, and portable degree.

A majority of learners complete the program in 5 semesters (about 1.5yrs) while working full time. Your MAET academic advisor will work with you to build an individualized course plan that best suits your professional and personal goals. There is a 5-year limit for completion of all courses in the master’s program.
We admit students to the MAET program on a rolling basis. You can submit your application any time and start preparing for your MAET journey early! Applications are reviewed on a weekly basis.

Our program is allowed to transfer a maximum of 9 credits of coursework from your MSU internship experience toward your MAET degree. In order for your MSU credits to be eligible to transfer, you must have earned at least a 3.0 in the courses and you must start your MAET degree within 5 years of completing your first course.

If you would like to have potential transfer courses reviewed for eligibility, please indicate this on your application. Courses will then be evaluated and approved by the MAET program upon admission.
No. Our courses are offered fully online, and therefore residency in the US is not required to complete the MAET program. If you are an international applicant interested in the program, please note that the MAET program does not fulfill the academic requirements to apply for an F-1 or J-1 visa.
