For Incoming Employees
Welcome to the College of Education! Here are a few frequently asked questions by new hires before they start their first day.
- Where do I park?
Current university employees already have access to the gated lot in front of Erickson Hall or access to select employee spots at IM Circle. New university employees will have the opportunity to purchase parking permits at orientation. For parking prior to orientation, please get in touch with your department contact for a one-day pass. - What do I wear?
You can find the college dress code here. For intricate department dress details, please contact your supervisor. - What do I bring to orientation?
Please bring: your Social Security card, documents to complete the 1-9 Form (list of acceptable documents), vehicle registration in order to purchase a faculty/staff parking permit, a voided check* if you’d like to enroll in direct depost as well as an original copy of your college degree or transcripts.
*NOTE: A voided check is not necessary if you bank at MSU Federal Credit Union; you will only need your account number. - Where am I meeting someone on my first day?
This will be discussed prior to your first day with your supervisor. - Where can I eat?
There are many food options available around campus and immediately surrounding Erickson Hall, including the Crossroads Food Court.
