You will need to complete the Application for Independent Study and Fieldwork, Application for enrolling in a Variable Credit Course, and the Affiliation Agreement must be submitted before you can be enrolled and start an internship or field work that is off MSU’s campus.

30 credits are required and here are the categories that make up those credits.
Applications open August 1st and close on January 15th for the start of the following fall semester.

The short answer is “no”, we do not offer any funding. But you could reach out to the Office of Financial Aid for information about loans, work study, scholarships etc. You could also reach out to your potential advisor to inquire about any funding they might have available.

After you have submitted and paid your application fee you will need to go back into your application portal and upload your current CV and unofficial copies of your transcripts. Your application will be incomplete without these documents uploaded.
