Biography
Edward Smith was an associate professor of teacher education specializing in the teaching and learning of specific science topics in elementary schools. He developed a classroom-based research program that combines analysis of students' conception of subject matter, teachers' intentions, curriculum materials, and interactive classroom instruction. He co-directed the Center for Ciriculum Materials in Science (CCMS) at MSU. He developed the Michigan Science Curriculum Resources Network for sharing
