Marisa Fisher earned her doctorate in special education from Vanderbilt University in 2010. She is currently a Red Cedar Distinguished Professor of Special Education and the executive director of the MSU Center for Services, Training, and Research for Independence and Desired Employment, or STRIDE. Dr. Fisher’s community-based engagement informs her programmatic research and addresses unmet needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) through two interrelated lines
