When is Homecoming?
Homecoming this year, “Spartans Make Headlines,” will be held the week of September 22-27, 2014.
When and where is the parade?
The parade will start at 6:00 p.m. in downtown East Lansing on September 26. The parade route starts at the corner of Abbot and Burcham roads and travels south to Grand River Avenue. The parade route travels east, turning south on Collingwood, and then continuing south on Farm Lane. The parade concludes at the corner of Farm and Shaw Lanes. When is the game?
The football game versus Wyoming will take place in Spartan Stadium at noon on September 27.
Are there any College of Education-specific activities?
Yes! You can be a part of the homecoming celebration with your alma mater in a couple of ways. On Friday, Sept. 26, 12:30 – 4:00 p.m., at IM Circle, check out the NEW Department of Kinesiology cognitive and motor neuroscience labs at a grand opening event! We’ll have a presentation from distinguished alumni, lab tours and demonstrations and refreshments.
Then, on Saturday, Sept. 27, before the noon game, join us for the college’s annual complimentary homecoming tailgate for food, games, live music and more!
Can those who are not kinesiology alums still attend the kinesiology grand opening event?
Yes—all are welcome. There is no cost for the event.
Where is the college’s homecoming tailgate located?
Dem Hall Field, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Will there be food and drinks served?
Non-alcoholic beverages, breakfast and lunch will be provided during our tailgate.
Is Sparty coming back?
Of course! Sparty wouldn’t miss a chance to hang out with some of his favorite alums and friends.
