Dean Search Candidates: Grad Student Sessions

The College of Education is hosting a series of sessions with Dean candidates. Two graduate student open sessions will be held this week:

  • Candidate 2: Feb. 1, 11:40 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. (via Zoom, passcode: 234567) and
  • Candidate 3: Feb. 4, 11:40 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. (via Zoom, passcode: 345678).

UCLA postdoc fellowship information session

Feb. 1, 12 p.m.: This IRACDA@UCLA program combines a bioscience research-focused postdoc with training in teaching and professional development directed towards a faculty career. Fellows receive teaching training and experience centered on undergraduates underrepresented in STEM education. Learn more via the UCLA website

Koru Mindfulness & Meditation Classes/Retreat

Learn research-validated methods to manage your stress and work more mindfully with thoughts and emotions. Koru Basic Mindfulness and Meditation starts on Feb. 2, Koru-2 will start on April 6, and a four-hour Koru retreat will be held on April 9. Learn more via the State of Mindfulness website

RCRSCA Workshop Series

Life & Wellness Spring Yoga Series

The Grad Student Life and Wellness and Council of Graduate Students offers this drop-in, no cost, virtual yoga class every Thursday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., with the support of Recreational Sports and Fitness. Email kramere6@msu.edu

Community-Engaged Scholarship Write-In

Feb. 4, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.: Held the first Friday of each month for three hours of dedicated writing time. Use the time to write journal articles, grant proposals, book chapters, theses, or dissertations, etc. Registration is required. Learn more via The Graduate School’s website
