- Mathematics Education doctoral student Maria Cruciani has been selected to receive a 2024 National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship. Read more about Maria’s work via PRIME.
- Kinesiology doctoral student Francesca Genoese was named National Doctoral Scholar Award Honorable Mention Co-Recipient by the American Kinesiology Association.
- Kasun Gajasinghe, a doctoral student in the Curriculum Instruction and Teacher Education (CITE) program, has been awarded the Witness Institute Fellowship. Read more about Kasun’s work via the College of Education.
- Educational Psychology & Educational Technology doctoral students Utku Caybas, Saki Inoue, William Van Luven and Sheza Mansoor were selectedas finalists for AERA Division C Shark Tank Competition.
- Katie Westby, a Mathematics Education doctoral student, received the 2024 Karen King Future Leader Award at the AERA Annual Conference.
- Lamia Bagasrawala (School Psychology Ph.D.) and Laxmi Prasad Ojha (CITE Ph.D.) were both recipients of the2024-25 COGS Disciplinary Leadership Award. Read more about their work via the Graduate School.
- Special Education doctoral student Elizabeth Hicks received the Badar-Kauffman Early Career Scholar Award at the Badar-Kauffman Conference on Special Education Research.
- With CED Assistant Professor Lucia Cardenas Curiel,Laxmi Prasad Ojha, Luqing Zang and Meiheng Chen (CITE Ph.D.) were recently published inInternational Multilingual Research Journal. The paper is titled: “The best way to get to know a student is to know their community”: Fostering pre-service teachers’ critical multilingual language awareness through linguistic community walks.
