Attention: International Grad Students
March 29, 10 to 11:30 a.m. These interactive gatherings for international grad students are designed as reflective, interactive and experiential spaces for fostering connections, art-based reflections and sharing stories/narratives. We will incorporate arts-based practices using mediums like visual art, stories, poetry, photographs, crafts and elements of nature to engage with the self metaphorically, identify our strengths and assets, reflect on our well-being, and critically engage with ideas of self-care. Call For Research Participants
Attention: International Doctoral Students
A College of Education research team is exploring the connection between international doctoral students’ prior careers and current academic experience. This team is seeking participants for a one-on-one semistructured interview and photovoice activity (estimated 70-minute time commitment). These sessions will help enhance support systems for international doctoral students navigating the transition from previous careers to academic settings. Participants receive a $25 Amazon gift card. Immersive Visualization Institute (IVI) 2024
Apply for the opportunity to learn about digital display technology platforms available at MSU. Participants will assess the learning of display platforms, learn techniques to produce content, and develop and submit a final product. This experience will be gained through The Abrams Planetarium,

Graduate Students and Sense of Belonging at MSU
SAA master’s students are looking for graduate students at MSU to complete a five-minute survey about their experience with sense of belonging on our campus. These students are trying to explore sense of belonging among graduate students on our campus and successfully complete an assessment project for EAD 889. This survey is open to all graduate domestic students at MSU (master’s, professional or doctorate). Complete the survey via Qualtrics by March 25.
Summer 2024 Tuition Pool Call for Applications

The Graduate Employees Union and Michigan State University agreed to add 500 additional tuition credits to the tuition waiver benefit for teaching assistants. This additional benefit will be in place for 2019-2023. The Summer tuition pool is available to students appointed as teaching assistants in Summer 2024. Apply by: March 29. Certification in College Teaching
The University Graduate Certification in College Teaching (CCT), an initiative of the Graduate School in partnership with MSU colleges, helps graduate students and postdocs organize, develop and document their teaching experiences. The College of Education will cover the $20 registration fee for any CED students who wish to participate (once you reach the payment screen, your registration is confirmed; you do not need to pay to register). Emerging Engagement Scholars Workshop
Attention: Doctoral
This intensive professional development program provides advanced doctoral students and early career faculty with background literature, dialogue, mentoring, and workshops designed to increase their knowledge and enhance their practice of community-engaged scholarship. This year’s EESW will take place Oct. 7-8, 2024, immediately before the Engagement Scholarship Consortium conference in Portland, OR. UURAF Seeking College of Education Judges
UURAF is seeking judges to evaluate UG student research poster. The College of Education needs eight judges — faculty or graduate students. Specifically, we need three for education and five for kinesiology. Please sign up by March 29 (select one option per timeslot). The UURAF will be face-to-face at the Breslin Center on April 12.
