- Reflective Spaces (Feb. 13, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) To provide a safe environment for individual reflection by members of our community, reflective spaces will be available at locations across campus and the Hannah Community Center in East Lansing. These spaces will be staffed by crisis counselors for those seeking additional emotional support. View locations via MSU Spartans Together
- Healing Through Kindness and Service (Feb. 13, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) This event provides a space for the MSU community to come together both on and off campus on the anniversary of Feb. 13, 2023. Kindness activities (writing notes of support and gift-making to keep personally or share with others) will be available at both the Hannah Community Center and the International Center. - Remembrance Gathering (Feb. 13, 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.) The gathering will provide a space for the community to come together in shared reflection. Opportunities to engage include participating in a shared community art creation, communing with one another and providing feedback around the permanent memorial planning effort. - Community Connections for Graduate Students (Feb. 14, 3 to 4 p.m.) This session, facilitated by Lisa Laughman (LMSW, Coordinator of Spartan Resilience Education), will include a few moments of remembrance, followed by the opportunity for skill building to increase capacity to navigate trauma reminders and reactions. - Luminaries: Spartans around the globe are invited to join each otherin lighting a luminary at 8 p.m. EST (5 p.m. GMT) to participate in our remembrance gathering from wherever they are that evening. Learn more via MSU Spartans Together
