A celebration of recent achievements by College of Education grad students:
- Congratulations to Isabelle Gonzales (M.A. in Educational Technology) and Heather Church (M.A. in Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education), who will serve as College of Education Online Master’s Student Ambassadors for the 2023-24 academic year.
- Cailyn Van Camp (Kinesiology Ph.D.) won the Graduate Student Research Award at the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Annual Meeting.
- Ben Zaleski (M.A in Educational Technology) presented at the Engagement Scholarship Consortium on the topic of Promoting Positive Youth Development in Rural Students through After-School programming.
- Chelsi Ricketts (Kinesiology Ph.D.) won the Student Abstract Award at the The Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) 2023 conference. Her abstract is titled “Men and Muscles: Self-esteem and Body Dissatisfaction in the Drive for Muscularity among Jamaican weight lifters”
- Justin Weller (M.A. in Student Affairs Administration) was recently accepted as a Graduate Ambassador for the Placement Exchange. The Placement Exchange is a partnership with the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) and the Association of College and University Housing Officers – International (ACUHO-I) to provide advanced career opportunities for graduate students in the student affairs field.
- Cherish Sarmiento (Special Education Ph.D.) has been invited to join the 16th cohort of the Council for Exceptional Children’s Division for Research Doctoral Student Scholars (DRDSS).
