Lyman Briggs SUTL Fellowships
Graduate students selected for this 12-month program will work with an LBC faculty member on a new or existing disciplinary‐based education research (DBER), scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL), or action research project. We envision DBER/SoTL/action research topics broadly, including developing and assessing various curricular interventions, assessing student learning and the factors that affect such learning, and evaluating the success of classroom innovations. Rose Graduate Fellowship in Water Research

Interdisciplinary Inquiry & Teaching Fellowship Program

The IIT Fellowship Program is for doctoral students with an interest in interdisciplinary inquiry and undergraduate teaching. The primary goal of the IIT Fellowship Program is to broaden and enrich the professional development experience of a diverse group of graduate students by placing them within an environment, James Madison College, with an established tradition in excellence in undergraduate teaching. Immersive Visualization Institute (IVI) Graduate Fellows
This hybrid summer institute allows a cohort of faculty and graduate students to explore the pedagogic possibilities of three exciting large-scale immersive visualization display platforms available at MSU:
- The Abrams Planetarium
- 360 Degree Panoramic Display Space in the Library’s Digital Scholarship Lab
- Science On a Sphere at the MSU Museum
IVI Graduate Fellows will learn about the affordances and limitations of each technology and how they are best suited for different types of visual representation. Applicants are invited from across the entire university, and all disciplines and interdisciplinary perspectives are welcome. Graduate students may apply individually or with a faculty member mentor.
