A celebration of recent achievements by College of Education grad students:

  • Emily Abrams, HALE Ph.D. student, won the Graduate Student and New Professionals Community of Practice Outstanding Doctoral Student award at ACPA’s 2023 National Convention.
  • Lindy Johnson, Special Education Ph.D. student, received a Scholarship for Education Research to participate in University of Michigan’s 2023 ICPSR Summer Program in Quantitative Methods.
  • Meredith Wekesser, Kinesiology Ph.D. student, received the Outstanding Student Paper Award in Sport Psychology for the North American Society for the Psychology of Sport and Physical Activity international conference. She will present her paper at the conference in Toronto, Ontario, on June 3.
  • Briana Williams, School Psychology Ph.D. student, was selected as a fellow for the 2023 Leadership Education to Advance Diversity (LEAD) Institute and received a Diversity Professional Development Award from the Society of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology, APA Division 53.
  • Aaron Zynda, Kinesiology Ph.D. student, is the recipient of the American Kinesiology Association’s (AKA) National Doctoral Scholar Award.
