Each week, we ask a member of the college grad student community to share three picks related to one of their passions.
Stacey McInerney, online M.A. in Education student, shares 3 must-do’s while visiting MSU campus:
While attending online classes, I make it a priority to schedule time to spend on campus to connect with my fellow Spartans. I urge all students, online or in-person, to take full advantage of all the great things our campus offers to stay close to one another and hold onto our community, especially after this year’s tragedy. We are Spartan Strong!
Spring and summer are just around the corner, so the campus will be in full bloom. There is no better time to visit. Here are the three things I make sure I do when visiting MSU:
- Events: There is nothing better than cheering on fellow Spartans! Depending on the season, I plan to take in a game or attend an event on campus. The sites, the sounds, THE GREEN! The Spartan Spirit is electric!
- MSU Dairy Store: This is a must just because their creations and flavors are amazing! I encourage you to follow them on social media to see their monthly selections and ever-changing menu.
- MSU Bookstore: Here is where I stock up on all my MSU merch! The Spartan Nation is large and proud! Though I live about 1,400 miles from campus, I make sure to wear my green and white as much as I can. I cannot tell you how many times I have been at a restaurant, grocery store, or you name it and heard someone call out to me, “Go Green!” I, of course, in return, proudly answer, “Go White!”
