2023 Global Children’s Literature Teacher Fellowship
The MSU College of Education, Asian Studies Center, African Studies Center, and the Center for Latin America and Caribbean Studies are excited to announce the 2023 Global Children’s Literature Teacher Fellowship program. This fellowship brings together K-12 classroom teachers with a team of MSU faculty and graduate students to connect local and global ideas through children’s literature. To facilitate this program, we are looking for graduate students from diverse background who are enthusiastic about children’s literature. Selected candidates will be paid on an hourly basis with an estimated total of 40 hours of engagement. Major responsibilities include:

  • identifying children’s literature based on world regions;
  • planning and presenting at the two in-person sessions;
  • facilitating three Zoom sessions related to regional groups;
  • supporting teacher participants in finding resources, selecting children’s literature, and providing feedback for lesson plans.

Summer Research Development Fellowship (SRDF)

The Office of Academic and Student Affairs is pleased to announce that due to newly available funding, we are able to increase the Summer Research Development Fellowship awards from $6,000 to $7,000. Dr. Karen Klomparens Endowment in Support of Graduate Fellowships
This fellowship is awarded in honor of Dr. Karen Klomparens, Dean of the Graduate School and Associate Provost for Graduate Education at MSU from 1997 until 2014, in honor of her unwavering commitment to graduate education. Applicants should be enrolled in masters or doctoral programs at MSU in any discipline including professional degree programs. Award: $2,300. Apply by: Jan. 20. Learn more via the Graduate School

SEEK Fellowships

The MSU Broad Art Museum is seeking doctoral fellows for three different projects:

  • Project: Resistance Training: Arts, Sports, and Civil Rights
    • Research Areas: the history of sports, the civil rights movement, sports law, Title IX legislation, gender studies, critical race theory, the history of racial segregation and integration in the US
