Sandy Waldron, Education Policy Ph.D. student, shares 3 favorite local coffee shops:
I first tried coffee at the Starbucks across the street from campus as a teenager, and I have loved relaxing with a cup of coffee since. Coffee shops are also my favorite places to go to refresh my workspace for a few hours:
- Hooked: I find the atmosphere to be the perfect blend of activity and calm to help me be productive. I also love browsing the bookshelves after I enjoy a classic latte.
- Foster Coffee: Their seasonal coffee drinks blend flavors expertly and are a great treat. I particularly love visiting in the summer when the street is closed for al fresco activities with lots of outdoor seating options.
- Strange Matter: My friends that love pour-over coffee rave about Strange Matter. I enjoy their coffee, but I especially love their homemade pop tarts. They are a perfect snack while coding.
