CADRE Fellows Application

The Community for Advancing Discovery Research in Education (CADRE) Fellows program provides professional growth opportunities for early career professionals in the field of preK-12 STEM education research. Apply by Oct. 24. Learn more via CADRE

The Hertz Fellowship

Wenner-Gren Dissertation Fieldwork Grants
Attention: Doctoral
The grant funds doctoral or thesis research that advances anthropological knowledge. There is no preference for any methodology, research location, or subfield. Maximum grants are $25,000. Applications due: Nov. 1. Learn more via the grant website

Big Ten Academic Alliance Smithsonian Institution Fellowship Applications
Attention: Doctoral

Applications are now open for the Big Ten Academic Alliance Smithsonian Institution Fellowship. This program provides one-year fellowships to doctoral students to support research at Smithsonian Institution facilities. The one-year fellowships carry a stipend of $42,000. Support for Doctoral Students Who Are Full-Time Employees
Attention: Doctoral
This fall, the Office of Academic and Student Affairs is piloting a funding program targeted at doctoral students who are employed full-time. Eligible students can apply for awards up to $1,500 per round of grant funding for expenses such as:

  • Food for a recurring or non-recurring writing/study group meeting. 
  • Transportation to attend a writing/study group/ retreat. 
  • Lodging and per diem for food for a writing or study retreat. 
  • Dependent care to enable focused time to study for comprehensive exams or engage in dissertation research or writing. 
  • Purchasing books or other resources about being enrolled in graduate school while employed full-time.
