Young children are being suspended and expelled from childcare settings in the Greater Lansing area. Are you interested in addressing this educational crisis through intervention design for key stakeholders? Eric Thomas’ Success Series

Building Your Research Impact Identity and Vision

Feb. 8, 1 to 2:30 p.m. Students are invited to attend a hands-on workshop to develop their impact identity, a concept that integrates one’s identity as a researcher with societal needs, personal preferences and skills, and institutional context. Learn more and register here

MSU CAPS First-Generation College Student Empowerment Group

Thursdays, 1 to 2 p.m. CAPS is hosting an in-person group at the MSU Union to support and empower first-generation college students. Topics could include transition, family, relationship and cultural dynamics, values and identity, and building community. Café Con Rueda

Fridays (biweekly), 3 to 5 p.m. This POC-led co-work session is a space for all to write, share research, and build community with other scholars of color. Learn more

Graduate Student Symposium

Feb. 16, 2 to 6 p.m.  MSU graduate students are invited to participate in an afternoon of in-person interactive workshops, focusing on the prevention of harassment and discrimination. Following the event, networking, dinner, and music will be provided. Registration required. Learn more

Feb. 18, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. & 1 to 4 p.m. This interactive online workshop is designed to help develop an individualized plan for graduate writing, especially comprehensive exams, dissertation proposals, and dissertations. Session 1 is designed for students in the early years of their Ph.D. study, while Session 2 is designed for students in the latter years. Learn more about Session 1 or Session 2

Fundamentals of Publishing Your Community-Engaged Scholarship
