DOCTORAL DEGREES

Each fall and spring semester, the MSU College of Education hosts a Convocation (hooding ceremony) for candidates who have completed their programs of study. This spring, Michigan State University will celebrate all Ph.D. and Education Specialist students’ graduations remotely. While this is the right decision from a public health perspective, our hearts are heavy thinking of those of you who were hoping to walk across the stage in May.

We look forward to celebrating with our 2021 spring doctoral candidates via a pre-recorded video that will feature candidates’ pictures and advisors’ statements that can be shared broadly with your friends, families, and colleagues.

Doctoral candidates: For more information on this recognition, please check your MSU email.

In addition, Michigan State University will host a virtual celebration for Spartan’s earning their doctoral degrees on May 7 at 2:00 p.m.

MASTER’S DEGREES

On May 7 at 10:00 a.m., Michigan State University will be celebrating Spartans earning master’s and educational specialist degrees with a virtual ceremony.

*Summer 2021 graduates will be invited to participate in the Fall 2021 commencement ceremonies.
** An in-person ceremony for Spring, Summer and Fall 2020 graduates is still in the works for a date yet to be determined.
