The College of Education Alumni Association Board of Directors is responsible for selecting the recipients of awards that are distributed annually to COE alumni. Currently the board awards three: Outstanding Alumni K-12 Teacher, Outstanding Alumni K-12 Administrator and Distinguished Alumni of the Year. To nominate an alumna/us use the appropriate link below.

The COEAA Board has also recognized outstanding faculty and first-year teachers in the past. To see all previous recipients check out the awardee profiles.
Presented to alumni administrators at any level within any school system who have made outstanding and continuing contributions to the educational community.
Awarded to alumni who have made significant contributions to their profession, community and educational organizations through recognized leadership. (This may be alumni who are not employed in K-12 schools.)
Presented to alumni teachers currently teaching in any school system who demonstrate evidence of service and achievement above and beyond what is expected.
Presented to an alumnus who has sustained, significant contributions to the field of kinesiology.
Please Note: Current members of the College of Education Alumni Association Board of Directors are not eligible for consideration as awardees. Also, note that prospective award recipients may be subject to a background check.
