Kinesiology Career Resources and Events

Making KIN-nections: “Making KIN-nections” is a career exposure and networking event for undergraduate students, sponsored by the Department of Kinesiology. This event is held annually in the fall to allow students to meet with alumni and professionals, kinesiology researchers, grad school programs, and student organization leaders to learn more about kinesiology-related career options and opportunities in health, wellness, fitness, sport and more. Look for announcements and more event information in late summer/early fall.

KIN Alumni Professional Panel (virtual): Each semester, alumni from diverse industries join for a panel webinar to share their career story, answer questions about what they do, and share advice. Find this event on Handshake or look out for email invites via Handshake.

MSU KINternship: Check out the KINternship webpage for information about this major requirement.

KIN Alumni Profiles: Kinesiology graduates pursue a wide variety of career paths. See what alumni are doing with their degrees to learn more about possible career options.

Teacher Education Career Resources and Events

It’s important to accurately indicate your teaching endorsement area(s) on your resume. Check out some Sample Teaching Resumes to help guide you.

“Get-A-Job” is an annual practice interview event presented by the MSU College of Education Alumni Board each spring (usually early March). This event gives teaching interns the opportunity to practice their interview skills and get valuable feedback from experienced educators. It’s also a great way to network with potential future employers. Teaching interns receive registration information via email.

Careers in Education Fair: This popular career fair is typically held in March and brings in school districts from across the state and country looking to fill open teaching positions. Find information on this fair and more on the Career Services Events page.
