Center for the Study of Curriculum Policy

The Center for the Study of Curriculum Policy (CSCP) at Michigan State University focuses on research related to curricular issues in K-12 schooling, assessment theory, and the effects of curriculum on academic achievement. A special focus concerns student achievement, equality in mathematics education, and educational policy related to mathematics. Other research topics science education and testing in general.

The center was formed in 2012 to house numerous research projects involving curricular issues, including the analysis and collection of large data sets on educational issues and student achievement in the U.S. and around the world. 

Director William Schmidt was a University Distinguished Professor at MSU and held faculty appointments in Statistics and Education.
