Graduate Certificate in Educational Technology

We offer the courses for our Graduate Certificate in Educational Technology throughout the year in three modes. Online courses run six times a year for 7-8 weeks. Overseas courses run for 4 weeks in the summer.

Fall Semester (FS)

Online

• CEP 810 runs from late August through mid October (Section 731)
• CEP 811 and CEP 812 run from mid October through early December (Section 733)

Spring Semester (SS)

Online

• CEP 810 runs from early January through early March (Section 731)
• CEP 811 and CEP 812 run from mid March through early May (Section 733)

Summer Semester (US)

Online

• CEP 810 in Summer 1 runs from early May through late June (Section 730)
• CEP 810, CEP 811, and CEP 812 in Summer 2 run from early July through mid August (Section 733)

Overseas Summer Cohort

• All 3 courses for the Educational Technology Graduate Certificate run concurrently in a face-to-face format for 4 weeks at National University of Ireland (NUI) Galway, in Galway, Ireland. Overseas courses are section 780.

Graduate Certificate in Online Teaching and Learning

The Graduate Certificate in Online Teaching and Learning courses are offered fully online. All 3 courses are semester-long courses.

• CEP 813 runs during Summer and Fall semesters
• CEP 817 runs during Spring semester
• CEP 820 runs during Spring, Summer, and Fall semesters

Graduate Certificate in K-12 Computer Science Education

The Graduate Certificate in K-12 Computer Science Education course are offered fully online.

• CEP 814 runs the full Fall semester
• CEP 824 runs the full Spring semester
• CEP 833 runs during Summer 1 (from early May – end of June)

Course Cancellation

While we hope this does not need to happen, the Department reserves the right to cancel a course for which there is insufficient enrollment. Notification of cancellation is normally provided at least a week before a course is set to begin. Paid tuition and registration fees will be refunded for a course that is cancelled by the Department.
