Tuesday Talk on teacher tenure: Detroit Free Press hosts live web chat

On Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at noon, the Detroit Free Press will host its online chat session, Tuesday Talk, where the general public will have the opportunity to discuss the recent changes in teacher work rules, including teacher tenure and eliminating seniority as a factor for hiring or layoffs, with Michigan’s educational leaders.

Among the panel of experts is Robert Floden, co-director of  Michigan State University’s Education Policy Center.

Others include representatives from the American Federation of Teachers Michigan, the Michigan House of Representatives and Education Trust-Midwest.
