MAET Cross-Cohort Summer Project 2019: Weekly Why

07/26/2019

Every summer, we create an opportunity for MAET students and instructors to connect across our online, hybrid, and overseas cohorts. For Summer 2019, we would like to start a conversation about finding your why when it comes to teaching and leadership. There are five total activities in this “Weekly Why” series. Each activity will be released at the beginning of the week and works under certain time constraints, so you can plan to spend 30 – 45 minutes on each activity in the series. As you are working through the weekly activities, please reach out to us at askmaet@msu.edu with any questions. We look forward to seeing and hearing your reflections! You’ll find the details below for the first activity.

Materials Needed:

  • Something to record your thinking (notebook, scrap paper, open document, sticky notes, etc.)
  • A blank piece of standard white computer paper
  • Any physical crafting/creativity items you have on hand (markers, crayons, pipe cleaners, etc.)
  • A timer — your phone is perfect!

The video below will introduce you to this series and the first activity. You may follow along or review the prompts on your own here.
