Free Speech and Academic Freedom Learning Community

March 14, 2025 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm EDT

Join other MSU educators in this learning community to explore how instructors’ academic freedom and free speech intersect in the classroom context. Meetings may be online or in person and will be facilitated by members of the Provost’s working group on Academic Freedom and Free Speech. The goal is to create a community of practice where we come together to engage the rights and responsibilities we have as educators.

In this session:

What Do Institutional Neutrality and Restraint Mean? Gather for a conversation about what institutional neutrality (and MSU’s new approach of institutional restraint) mean in the context of teaching and learning.
