Did you know most museums, arts & cultural institutions, and social service agencies are nonprofit organizations and make up 10% of Michigan’s workers? Did you know that they often have wonderful opportunities for future teachers to volunteer or intern?
The Nonprofit Expo is an opportunity to explore the wide world of nonprofits, hear from professionals about their paths, connect with organizations offering internships and jobs. Alumni working in nonprofits will offer career coaching, resume reviews and share the best ways to market your skills.
Where is the fair? The fair is held at the MSU Union, 2nd Floor Ballroom.
Who can attend? The Nonprofit Expo is open to all students at MSU.
What do I need to do? You can register to attend on Handshake, but it is not necessary. Just show up to the MSU Union Second Floor, and we will get you checked in on the day of the event.
How can I prepare? Check out our short videos to help you be at your best during the fair https://msu.joinhandshake.com/articles/2823
What should I wear? We recommend business casual. Check out the above video on dressing for a career fair if you are unsure!
What should I bring? A padfolio and pen for notes, copies of your resume, a portfolio (if applicable) and questions for each organization you want to meet with!
