EXPLOR(ED) with Dean Jackson is a showcase series for the MSU College of Education.

The series brings thought leaders in conversation with Dean Jerlando F. L. Jackson in topics around education, health, well-being, leadership, equity and more.

Featured guests are selected by Dean Jackson.

James L. Moore III, assistant director for the National Science Foundation’s Directorate for STEM Education, was our guest for Episode 3 of Explore(ED). Moore, a longtime collaborator with Dean Jackson, is the first executive director of the Todd Anthony Bell National Resource Center on the African American Male and the inaugural Education and Human Ecology (EHE) Distinguished Professor of Urban Education at The Ohio State University.

Okhee Lee, a professor at New York University Steinhardt, joined us for the second episode of EXPLOR(ED). Lee is a doctoral graduate of our college and was honored, in December 2022, with an Honorary Doctorate in the Humanities by Michigan State University.

The inaugural EXPLOR(ED) with Dean Jackson was held in September 2022. Thank you to WKAR Studios at Michigan State University for hosting and capturing this conversation!
