Notebook Computer Requirement

All students in the College of Education are expected to have a notebook computer for use at MSU. This requirement applies to all teacher preparation students (Elementary Education, Special Education, Child Development and secondary education students) as well as all Kinesiology and Athletic Training majors.

MAC Notebook Minimum Requirements

  • Intel Mac Laptop, Core 2 Duo processor running at 2.0 Ghz or faster
  • OS X 10.6 or higher
  • Microsoft Office 2008 or 2011 for Mac
  • Minimum 2GB of memory
  • Minimum 160GB hard drive
  • Wireless and USB ports.
  • 2GB or bigger flash drive for transporting files

PC Notebook Minimum Requirements

  • Intel Core 2 Duo processor running at 2.0 GHz or faster
  • Windows 7(32 bit)
  • Microsoft Office 2007 or Office 2010
  • 2GB or 3GB Memory
  • 160 GB Hard Drive or above
  • Ethernet Port
  • Integrated Wireless
  • CD-RW / DVD Drive
  • USB ports
  • Flash drive for transporting files
