The MDISC team presented at the general session of NCTM in Philadelphia, PA, April 2012.

 

Teams at MSU and the University of Delaware are now involved in piloting the MDISC materials with area teachers. If you’re a secondary math teacher or district leader in Michigan who is interested in PD around classroom discourse, you can find more information here for more information on about future piloting opportunities.

 

The MDISC team presented at the annual conference of the Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators in February, 2012.

 

Members of the MDISC team recently had an article published in the Journal for Research in Mathematics Education. This article deals with the ways in which mathematical meaning is constructed through classroom discourse.
